Why do I keep getting targeted by them? Does it have anything to do with the one NPC I destroyed 2 lives ago or that planet I attacked? They hate me a lot.

yes, if you attack a planet with a cruiser in the area then they will attack you as they are defenders.

Ok, thanks. I do feel slightly immoral for taking someone's planet though. At least they can take it back whenever they want :/
